Yashpal Sharma Praises South Film Industries for Professionalism

When actor Yashpal Sharma earned Rs 18 a day

Veteran actor Yashpal Sharma recently praised South film industries, stating that they are more professional and punctual compared to Bollywood. In an interview with Rajshri Unplugged, Sharma emphasized the efficiency and quickness of the South film industry, particularly Tamil and Telugu.

Sharma, who made his Telugu debut in the 2007 film Lakshyam, recalled his experience working in the industry. He described how things are well-organized and timely, even during a one-day trip for patchwork. According to him, cheques from production houses in the South never bounce.

Speaking highly of the Telugu film industry, Sharma mentioned that Lakshyam was a significant success, even surpassing Rajinikanth’s Sivaji, released in the same year. He also praised the Tamil film industry, citing his work in the critically acclaimed movie Ayothi, directed by Manthira Moorthi.

In Ayothi, which received top honors at the Chennai International Film Festival, Sharma portrayed a misogynistic patriarch. Despite its modest budget, the film garnered praise from Rajinikanth and other prominent figures.

Yashpal Sharma has also appeared in Mahesh Babu’s Bharat Ane Nenu and Don Seenu.
