About the Film
Directed by Gnanavel and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah’s Lyca Productions, Vettaiyan features Rajinikanth as Athiyan, a trigger-happy cop known for his encounter specialist tactics. The cast also includes Amitabh Bachchan in his Tamil debut as a judge who challenges Athiyan’s methods, along with notable performances from Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, and Manju Warrier.
Despite receiving mixed reviews, the film has been praised for its engaging performances and its exploration of current societal issues amidst its action-packed narrative. With its strong start, Vettaiyan is poised to become one of the year’s major cinematic events.
