In a recent interview while promoting his upcoming film “Operation Valentine,” actor Varun Tej shared intriguing details about his marriage to Lavanya Tripathi and their Valentine’s Day celebration. The couple, who tied the knot in November 2023 in Italy, chose the picturesque location for a specific reason, as Varun explained during the interview.

A Dreamy Italian Wedding: Varun Tej, who first met Lavanya Tripathi on the sets of “Mister” in 2017, revealed that the decision to have a destination wedding was influenced by his desire for a more intimate and enjoyable experience for his family. Concerned about the grand scale of weddings in his family, typically involving thousands of guests, Varun expressed the importance of allowing his parents to relax and have fun. With a close-knit family, the actor opted for a more personal celebration, inviting only 100 guests instead of the usual 4000 to 10,000. The wedding took place in Italy, creating cherished memories for the couple and their loved ones.

Valentine’s Day Sans Gifts: Addressing their first Valentine’s Day post-wedding, Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi chose a different path, refraining from exchanging traditional gifts. During a promotional event, Varun candidly admitted, “I didn’t get her (Lavanya) any gift, she didn’t gift me anything either.” The actor, known for his role in “Operation Valentine,” reminisced about his college days when he used to exchange gifts frequently. However, the couple opted for a short vacation in Kashmir instead of indulging in material presents.

Upcoming Projects: Varun Tej shared insights into his upcoming film “Operation Valentine,” where he plays an Indian Air Force officer alongside Manushi Chhillar as a radar officer. The film, directed by Shakti Pratap Singh, marks Varun’s Bollywood debut and Manushi’s entry into Tollywood. The first single of the film, “Vande Mataram,” was recently launched at the Wagah Border. Scheduled for release on March 1, “Operation Valentine” is set to captivate audiences with its unique storyline.
