“Recover’ Program raises awareness
Svaastika Charitable Trust successfully conducted the second session of its anti-drug program, “Recover,” at Carmel Higher Secondary School in Thiruvananthapuram on July 26, 2023. The year-long program aims to create awareness about the hazards of drug use within educational institutions each month.
The event commenced with an inauguration ceremony at Nirmala Bhavan Girls Higher Secondary School and continued at Carmel School, Vazhuthakkad, as the second part of the program. The guest of honor, film actor Kishore Sathya, delivered a powerful message encouraging the students to steer clear of harmful substances and make responsible life choices. His words had a significant impact on the female students present at the event.
The program was graced by the presence of Carmel School Director, Sister Renita, Principal Anjana M, Founder Trustee of Svaastika Charitable Trust, Sindhu Nandakumar, and Trustees Padmam Nandakumar, Rajeev Shankar, and Roshan Ramachandran.
During the session, Seema Rafi, co-founder of VitaSkills Academy and a soft skills trainer, conducted an awareness class for female students, addressing their concerns and doubts related to substance abuse.
