Srk attends IPL in kolkata

Shah Rukh Khan, a superstar on screen, sees himself as the 12th man for his cricket team KKR. In a recent interview with Star Sports, he shared insights into his journey with Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL.

During a challenging phase for the team, before they won the championship, Shah Rukh aimed to convey to his players and staff the importance of patience, emphasizing that it would ultimately lead to great rewards.

“The first five-six years were very challenging. I am not a cricketer… But I was the 12th man in KKR. As the 12th man, how to go field, serve the water, give the towel, and be able to explain that it is ok, give it time. Everything should be allowed to breathe,” he said during the interview.

KKR won its first championship in the fifth season of IPL in 2012, followed by another win in 2014. The team hasn’t won the championship since then.

In another segment, Shah Rukh Khan discussed his connection with Eden Gardens and revealed that he has a “corner” there, similar to the one he has at his Mumbai residence, Mannat.

“There’s no nervousness. It is there for the first few matches, for everyone. In Eden Gardens, there is a left side corner that is mine. I feel more than at home, more at family here,” Shah Rukh Khan added.

Shah Rukh Khan’s KKR has had a good run so far this season and is currently in the top three on the points table.

On the work front, Shah Rukh is set to collaborate with his daughter Suhana Khan for the first time in the action film “The King.” Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, with action sequences overseen by Siddharth Anand, who helmed “Pathaan,” the film is scheduled for release in 2025.
