One of the most iconic cricket grounds: RCB players express their admiration for Dharamshala stadium
In a recent poll conducted during an IPL match, fans were asked if the Dharamshala ground was the most beautiful stadium in the world. Over 80 per cent of respondents voted in favor of the statement.
Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Himachal Pradesh, Dharamshala is renowned for being one of the most visually stunning cricket grounds worldwide, with majestic mountains providing a breathtaking backdrop to the action on the field. It’s no wonder then that the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) players expressed their admiration and excitement at the prospect of playing there.
RCB will face off against Punjab Kings at the Dharamshala cricket ground on Thursday, May 9th. Ahead of the match, RCB released a video featuring their players expressing their admiration for the ground.
The video, titled ‘Dharamshala Special: What makes the stadium iconic?’, captures the essence of the venue, highlighting how the picturesque Himalayas in the backdrop bring a smile to every cricketer’s face, often turning them into models and photographers.
In the footage, RCB players can be seen taking countless pictures of themselves against the stunning backdrop of the stadium, as well as capturing images of the stadium itself.
RCB skipper Faf du Plessis remarked, “It’s one of the iconic cricket grounds in the world. So unique when you get here. Almost walk out of the changing room and you have a smile on your face.”
The enthusiasm and admiration displayed by the RCB players further emphasize the special charm of the Dharamshala cricket ground, making it a much-anticipated venue for cricket fans and players alike.
