Raveena Tandon is awarded the Padma Shri.
President Draupadi Murmu gave Raveena Tandon the fourth-highest civilian honour.
At a glittering event held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Wednesday, President Draupadi Murmu presented actor Raveena Tandon with the fourth-highest civilian honour, the Padma Shri. During the presentation event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah were present.
Tandon earlier said she was “honoured and grateful” for being chosen for the top honour. Thank you so much, Government of India, for appreciating my contributions, my life’s work, my love of the arts, and everything else that made it possible for me to contribute not just to the film business but to other fields as well. I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who helped me along the way, both those who held my hand and those who observed me from above. I owe my father for this.
With blockbusters like Mohra, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Satta, Shool, and many more, Raveena Tandon rose to fame in Bollywood.
She garnered a lot of praise for her work in the popular Indian film KGF 2.
The Central government already announced 106 Padma Awards across all categories in January. The categories included, among others, those related to the arts, social work, government, public affairs, science and engineering, business and industry, health care, literature and education, sports, and civil service.
In terms of her professional life, Raveena’s next appearance will be in the romantic comedy Ghudchadi, which also stars Sanjay Dutt, Parth Samthan, and Khushali Kumar. In addition, she also has Patna Shukla in her collection.
