Ranveer’s cute nickname for Deepika
Deepika Padukone achieved a significant milestone by being the only Indian to appear on the Disruptors List 2024, alongside global icons such as Eva Longoria, Uma Thurman, and Lee Sung Jin. Her husband, actor Ranveer Singh, celebrated this accomplishment by sharing a screengrab of the list highlighting Padukone and captioning it, “Baby Mama got ‘em shook (sic).”
Deepika Padukone was featured on a magazine’s Disruptors List 2024, where she discussed her experiences auditioning for Hollywood projects. Reflecting on the changes in the global film industry since her role in ‘XXX’ and citing the success of ‘Naatu Naatu’ at the Oscars, she remarked, “I think the world has become smaller, and the world has come together and it’s really about telling great stories. Whether it’s working in Sweden or Bosnia, it’s about telling interesting stories that resonate with an audience across the world.”
She added, “I don’t think we’ve drastically changed anything in India about the way that we work or the kinds of stories that we tell. I think we’ve always had interesting stories to tell, but what has changed is that the world has opened up to the idea of the East and to India in particular. The real change is realizing there is a world outside of America.”
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are also set to welcome their first baby in September this year. The couple recently returned from a vacation that fans are referring to as their babymoon.
