Prithviraj Sukumaran Confirms Next Directorial Venture Post-“L2 Empuraan” Will be “Tyson”.After much anticipation, Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran has officially confirmed his next directorial project following the completion of “L2 Empuraan” will be titled “Tyson.” This announcement comes nearly two years after Hombale Films revealed their collaboration with the actor-director for this upcoming film, in which Prithviraj will both direct and star.
Despite the initial announcement, details about “Tyson” had remained scarce, with Prithviraj primarily focusing on his acting commitments. Notably, he has been involved in projects like “Salaar: Ceasefire” for Hombale Films and his ongoing directorial endeavor, “L2: Empuraan,” the sequel to the highly successful “Lucifer.”
During his recent visit to Bengaluru for the promotions of his forthcoming release, “Aadujeevitham,” Prithviraj shared insights into his growing connection with the city, including his role as the largest distributor of Kannada cinema in Kerala. He also discussed his collaboration with Hombale Films and expressed eagerness to commence shooting for the next installment, “Salaar Shouryaangaparvam,” as well as the imminent completion of “Empuraan,” which requires filming in various international locations.
Following the conclusion of “Empuraan,” Prithviraj has assured fans that “Tyson” will be his next directorial venture, although he has not provided a concrete timeline for its production. Described as a social thriller, “Tyson” will feature a script by Murali Gopi, marking the third collaboration between the actor and scriptwriter.
“Aadujeevitham,” based on the bestselling novel by Benyamin, recounts the harrowing true story of a Malayali man ensnared in a slavery scam, spending over three years in the deserts of Saudi Arabia before orchestrating a daring escape. Prithviraj essays the lead role in this film helmed by National Award-winning director Blessy.
Furthermore, “Aadujeevitham” has been adapted into multiple languages including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and English, with Prithviraj lending his voice for the dubbing across all versions, underscoring his commitment to pan-Indian cinema ventures.
