One Air India ticket can now take you anywhere in Europe!
Attention, Passengers on Air India will soon be able to travel without interruption to more than 100 European cities and villages, even those without airports.
This will be achievable as a result of the intermodal agreement that Air India and AccesRail, a partner airline of the International Air Transport Association, recently signed. As a result of this advancement, Air India passengers would be able to visit more than 100 European destinations with just one ticket.
According to reports, this alliance will enable Air India customers to use bus and train services while keeping the same baggage limit they experience on flights. Your journey through Europe need not end when you disembark; in fact, it can begin as soon as you enter the continent’s borders.
Which nations in Europe can you go to with this ticket?
Using ports like Amsterdam, Birmingham, London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Milan, and Vienna, travellers may now fly through Austria, Belgium, Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, and the United Kingdom. Your intermodal ticket purchase permits you to use a variety of bus and rail services, such as Thalys (Netherlands/Belgium), National Express (U.K.), Trenitalia (Italy), BB Austrian Railways (Austria), and Avanti West Coast (U.K.).
Air India is now improving connectivity between Europe and India, taking a page from Vistara, which earlier this year partnered with WorldTicket to offer connections via Deutsche Bahn rail services from Frankfurt to Germany on a single ticket.
Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial & Transformation Officer at Air India, commented on this event by saying, “The growth of our worldwide network is one of our main initiatives in the ongoing, thorough transformation of Air India. Through our cooperation with AccesRail, we are able to bridge the connection gaps between India and Europe while also giving our passengers simple access to a wide range of destinations throughout the continent.
These intermodal tickets are initially only available through international travel agencies. Air India does, however, intend to soon add its own sales channels to the booking service.
