NORCA – UK’s “Talent Mobility Drive”: Opportunities for UK-based Nurses and Operating Department Practitioners

NORCA Roots, in collaboration with a prominent NHS Trust in the United Kingdom (UK), is currently conducting a “Talent Mobility Drive” aimed at healthcare professionals. This initiative offers a range of opportunities specifically tailored for Nurses and Operating Department Practitioners (ODP). Interviews with UK employers are being scheduled on a weekly basis.

Applicants with a degree or diploma in the healthcare field, as well as an IELTS/OET UK score, are encouraged to apply. Candidates without an IELTS/OET score will receive a conditional offer letter upon selection and must obtain the necessary qualification within six months.

For the position of General Medical & Surgical Nurse (B.Sc), a minimum of one year of work experience within the past three years is required. Similarly, Theater Nurses (B.Sc) must have at least one year of work experience within the past two years, while Mental Health Nurses (B.Sc) should possess Nursing Council registration and a minimum of six months of work experience in a Psychiatry Ward.

Nurses applying for midwife positions are exempted from the work experience requirement if they have completed a Nursing Diploma within the past two years, or if they possess at least one year of midwifery experience within the last three years.

Operating Department Practitioners (ODP) are also eligible to apply. Applicants must have a BSc/Diploma in Operation Theater & Anesthesia Technology or BSc Anesthesia Technology, along with a minimum of one year of work experience. Selected ODP candidates are expected to achieve an academic IELTS score of no less than 7.0.

Successful candidates will be offered permanent positions with a Band 5 salary and additional benefits upon registration as a nurse.
