Michael Mosley found dead on greek Island
British TV presenter and healthy living advocate Michael Mosley has been found dead on the Greek island of Symi, according to a deputy mayor who spoke to Reuters on Sunday. Mosley, 67, had been missing since Wednesday after setting out alone for a walk along a coastal path in extreme heat.
Police spokeswoman Constantina Dimoglidou reported that a body, believed to be Mosley’s, had been discovered in the Agia Marina area, pending identification. “The mayor of the island and a state TV ERT journalist were filming in Agia Marina when they spotted the body,” said deputy mayor Nikitas Grillis. “It is certainly him.”
A police official clarified that the body was found on rocky terrain near the sea, refuting earlier reports that it was discovered in a cave. Police are currently investigating the scene.
Mosley, who was on the island with his wife, was last seen alive at 1:30 p.m. (1030 GMT) on Wednesday. He vanished after embarking on a walk along a rocky coastal path from Agios Nikolaos beach to the village of Pedi, which triggered a search operation.
