Mercedes GLS facelift launch details

Mercedes-Benz is gearing up to launch the facelifted GLS in India on January 8, with anticipated pricing details to be revealed during the event. The flagship SUV, initially introduced in April, will showcase significant exterior and interior updates, maintaining its classic road presence while enhancing its bold appearance.

Notable exterior changes include a redesigned bumper, updated LED headlight setup, new front grilles, and high-gloss black surrounds. The rear section has also undergone updates, contributing to an improved overall styling. The SUV will roll on new 20-inch wheels, adding to its wilder aesthetic.

Inside, the facelift boasts a range of updates, featuring new upholstery, an updated dashboard, and robust features. The Mercedes MBUX infotainment system, with three display modes, takes center stage. Enhanced safety and visibility are provided by a larger parking package, equipped with a 360-degree view camera for sharp views in various surroundings, including beneath the front bumper.

Despite these changes, rumors suggest that the mechanical aspects remain unchanged. The facelift is expected to maintain the existing 3.0-liter diesel engine, delivering 549 bhp at 6000-6500rpm and 730Nm at 2500-4500rpm, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
