Kartik Aaryan took to Instagram on Wednesday to unveil the first poster of his upcoming movie, “Chandu Champion.” The poster features Kartik running while sporting a red langot, with his body covered in sweat and mud, showcasing his chiseled physique and abs.
In the caption accompanying the poster, Kartik expressed his excitement and pride, describing “Chandu Champion” as the most challenging and special film of his career. He wrote, “Champion aa raha hai (is coming)… super excited and proud to share the first poster of the most challenging and special film of my career.”
The poster unveiling garnered enthusiastic responses from fans and fellow actors alike. One fan expressed getting goosebumps, while another remarked on Kartik’s transformation, finding him unrecognizable for a moment. Huma Qureshi exclaimed “Arreeeee waaah (Wow),” and Bhumi Pednekar chimed in with a resounding “Woahhhhhh.”
Kartik recently shared a humorous incident regarding the poster reveal plans being disrupted by his pet dog, Katori. He posted a video on Instagram showing him chasing Katori, who had torn down the film’s poster. Kartik humorously wrote in the caption, “Aaj se promotion ka shubharambh hona tha lekin Katori ne poster hi phaad dia. Ab kal hi ayega poster (Planned to kick off the promotions, but Katori turned around everything).”
About Chandu Champion
“Chandu Champion,” directed by Kabir Khan, is inspired by the remarkable true story of a sportsman and his indomitable spirit. Kartik Aaryan takes on the role of Chandu in the film, undergoing a remarkable physical transformation to embody the character.
According to ANI, Kartik dedicated 14 months to mastering the Marathi dialect for his role in the film, with the assistance of a language coach.
The first look of “Chandu Champion” was revealed by Kartik last August, showcasing him in a blazer with short hair, sporting an intense expression and injury marks on his face. The film is slated to release on June 14, 2024.
In addition to “Chandu Champion,” Kartik is currently filming for the horror comedy “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3,” directed by Anees Bazmee. The film, which also stars Vidya Balan and Triptii Dimri, is scheduled for release on Diwali 2024.
