Indian Railways is set to enhance travel experiences with the inauguration of two new Amrit Bharat Express trains. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off these trains, which will operate on the Darbhanga-Ayodhya-Anand Vihar route. The service, starting from Darbhanga on January 1, 2024, will connect several key cities, providing a premium travel experience for over 1834 passengers. The trains will run only two days a week, offering a seamless journey equipped with modern amenities, safety features, and cutting-edge technology, including CCTV cameras, charging ports, and more.
The newly launched Amrit Bharat Express will significantly benefit residents of Mithila, providing a direct route to Ayodhya. The trains boast enhanced safety measures, including CCTV surveillance and security personnel. Notable features include ramps for disabled passengers, aesthetic lighting, foldable table slabs with charging ports, and convenient luggage racks. The introduction of these trains aligns with the government’s efforts to improve rail connectivity and offer a comfortable travel experience to passengers across the country.
