Jennifer Lopez cancels summer tour
Jennifer Lopez is canceling her summer tour to spend more time with her family, a decision that she said makes her “heartsick.”
Live Nation announced that the “This is Me…Live” tour is canceled because the singer is “taking time off to be with her children, family, and close friends,” according to People.
In a statement on her website, OntheJLo, Lopez expressed her heartbreak over the decision but did not provide further details.
“I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary,” she wrote. “I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…”
The 32-show tour included three Canadian dates: August 2 and 3 in Toronto, and August 5 in Montreal.
The cancellation comes amid intense speculation about possible marital issues between Lopez and her husband, Ben Affleck. Although the couple has not made any announcements, there are rumors that their marriage is troubled. Representatives for Lopez have not commented on the rumors.
