“It’s rest and physiotherapy for a couple of months,” writes Prithviraj in a note following surgery.
A keyhole surgery was done on Prithviraj’s leg after the accident, and he has been asked to take rest for a few months.
We previously reported that Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran suffered a leg injury while filming Vilayath Buddha. In an Instagram post, the actor has now revealed the same. The actor’s leg underwent keyhole surgery, and he is currently healing from the injuries.
“So, yes,” Prithviraj stated in an Instagram post. I was filming an action sequence for Vilayath Buddha when I had an accident. Fortunately, I am in the capable hands of doctors who conducted keyhole surgery on me, and I am now on the mend.” Prithviraj further stated that he has been advised to relax for a few months and do physiotherapy in order to properly heal from the injury. The Malayalam star added that he will try to use the time productively and thanked people for their love and concern.
According to the film’s director, Jayan Nambiar, Prithviraj was injured while getting off a bus. He was promptly taken to the hospital. “The doctors advised that it is better to perform the surgery and told Prithviraj to rest for six weeks,” Jayan added. This occurred with only one day of shooting remaining. However, because Prithviraj is required for the remaining portions, we have decided to halt filming till he returns.”
Vilayath Buddha also stars Anu Mohan and Priyamvada Krishnan in addition to Prithviraj.
