WILLIAMSJI MAVELI
Evolving before you is the inspirational story of a small boy from Thrissur (a suburban district in India) who got lured into a dreamy world of literature while listening to his school lectures in math and science. His dreams made his pen draft beautiful lines of poetry in his class book. A random check from his teacher brought his secrets out which was noted with punishment and contempt laughs from his teacher as well as his friends. A hero is an ordinary person who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles. The hurt his small heart felt from that day’s punishment and contempt laughs was what made him start his journey as a writer. He promised himself that he would one day make his mark as a writer.
As our small boy evolved into a vibrant teen, he was fascinated by the magical world of movies. His pen reviewed and brought forth intriguing criticism of each and every movie he saw. His strong lines of creative criticism were selected & published in many leading magazines. His initial experiences at college evoked romanticism and aggression which urged him to write beautiful and thought provoking poetic lines about love and revolution.
Even when his career path took his forward as an accountant and manager in different companies, his passion towards literature remained unmoved. His richly drawn characters and thought-provoking plots have earned him devoted readers worldwide, as well as multiple industry awards. He considers himself blessed to be able to publish 13 books in the genre of poem, fiction novel and drama. What better way to express his love for writing than having a great track record of publishing in poetry, prose, reviewing and scripting.
After living as an expat for nearly two decades, Williamsji is now settled in his hometown where he enjoys life to its fullest with his children and grandchildren. His passion to read and write stays robust even at the age of 64. His day starts earlier than the sunrise at 4am without an alarm out of which he dedicates an average of 8 hours for creative writing. No wonder this great writer claims jovially his pen as his sixth finger. Over the many books and million copies of his books been bought, downloaded, or listened to, S.O.U.L.S (An outstanding collection of 150 poems ) stays closest to his heart. He is one of the those writers who doesn’t tell us that the moon is shining but makes us feel the glint of light on a broken glass through the scribbles of his pen.
