India and Zambia hold 4th foreign office consultations in Lusaka
India and Zambia held their fourth Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) today in Lusaka, with the goal of reinforcing bilateral relations and exploring new avenues of cooperation.
The consultations covered a wide range of topics, including institutional mechanisms, scholarships, and capacity-building initiatives. The discussions also addressed collaboration in higher education, trade, and commercial relations, as well as key sectors such as defense, health, agriculture, mining, small and medium enterprises, digital platforms, and cultural exchanges.
Both delegations expressed satisfaction with the current state of their bilateral ties and emphasized the need for further enhancement. The talks also included deliberations on regional and international issues of mutual interest, with a particular focus on cooperation within multilateral forums like the United Nations.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to schedule the next FOC in New Delhi at a mutually convenient time, highlighting the ongoing commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership between India and Zambia.
