The Joker from The Dark Knight, played by Heath Ledger, has been brought to life by a very talented cosplayer and makeup artist, who also created some amazing prosthetic scars for the villain. Heath Ledger’s portrayal of Batman’s arch-enemy in Christopher Nolan’s second installment of The Dark Knight trilogy is regarded as one of the greatest villain performances in history. Case in point, Ledger’s version of the Clown Prince of Crime is still being recreated today despite the movie having been released 15 years ago back in 2008.

Jose Davalos, a gifted makeup artist, portrays the Joker in a cosplay video on Instagram. The Joker’s vicious scars on either side of his mouth are concealed by blood red lipstick, green hair, and white face paint. Davalos created facial prosthetics to make the scars as accurate as possible, as shown by the makeup process he used.
