Croatia are now on the brink of an exit, Germans secure their second win against Hungary

Albania snatched a stoppage-time equaliser for a stunning 2-2 draw against Croatia in a thrilling European Championship contest on Wednesday but the result left both countries with a tall order if they are to progress to the last 16.

Croatia were leading 2-1 with just two minutes remaining in the game squandered their lead as they were unable to mark Klaus Gjasula of Albani who scored the equaliser and sent Croatia on the brink of a shock early exit in the tournament.

As soon as the final whistle went Luka Modric was stunned and he went down on the ground absolutely heartbroken with the result.

On the another fixture, Ilkay Gundogan set up a goal for Jamal Musiala and then scored himself to give Germany a comfortable 2-0 win over Hungary in Group A on Wednesday that made the host nation the first side to qualify for the knockout stages at Euro 2024.

With two wins out of two, the Germans are guaranteed to be at least among the four best third-placed teams.

Scotland and Switzerland played out a 1-1 draw in their Euro 2024 Group A match two at the RheinEnergieStadion in Cologne, Germany.
