Loan Fraud attempted

Brazilian Woman Arrested For Taking Dead Uncle On Wheelchair To Sign Bank Loan | Watch

A startling incident has rocked Brazil, as a woman attempted to secure a loan from a bank using her deceased uncle. The distressing scene unfolded when the woman wheeled her 68-year-old uncle, who was in a wheelchair, into a Rio de Janeiro bank to apply for a loan. However, suspicions arose among bank employees, leading to a call to emergency authorities.

Upon arrival, emergency responders discovered that the man in the wheelchair was, in fact, deceased. The woman, identified as Vieira, was subsequently arrested and charged with violating a corpse and attempted fraud.

Reports indicate that Vieira, claiming to be her uncle’s niece, sought to obtain a loan of approximately $3,250 in his name. Despite her efforts to make it appear as though her uncle was signing the documents, authorities confirmed that he was already deceased upon entering the bank.

Witnesses recounted Vieira’s repeated attempts to prompt her uncle to sign the loan documents. “Uncle, are you listening? You need to sign. If you don’t sign, there’s no way. I can’t sign for you, it has to be you. What I can do, I do,” she was quoted as saying.

Investigators are working to establish the relationship between Vieira and her deceased uncle. While she denies the allegations, her actions have sparked a nationwide conversation about the incident, circulating rapidly on social media platforms. Meanwhile, authorities continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
