India’s first cable-stayed Anji Khad Bridge connecting the UTs of Jammu and Kashmir will be completed soon.
According to reports, India will shortly have its first cable-stayed railway bridge. According to representatives of the railway ministry, the Anji Khad Bridge will be completed and operational by May 2023.

This is because the Anji Khad Bridge will establish a train link between the Union Territory of Kashmir and the rest of the nation for the first time. Additionally, the bridge will link Jammu and Kashmir, two Union Territories.
Given that it is one of the largest railway projects ever undertaken on top of a mountain, this new bridge is being hailed as an engineering marvel. A total of 96 cables are used to hold the 725m bridge 331m above the Anji River. Although not the entire bridge, a whopping 473 m of the bridge is cable-stayed. About 80 kilometers separate Jammu Union Territory from the Anji Khad Bridge.
Not only that, but the bridge, which is also a part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Line, was built with a lot of skill. All types of high-altitude weather conditions will be able to be handled by the bridge thanks to its innovative design.
