An excellent solution for urban households, the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 is reviewed here.
Those who experience poor air quality in their homes may find the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 to be a wise investment. Prior to evaluating the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4, I, for one, had never considered the need for an air purifier.

In India, Xiaomi began its journey with smartphones before shifting to other smart goods. One such item is the smart air purifier, which the business recently unveiled alongside a number of other items at its Smarter Living event.
With a price tag of Rs 13,999, Xiaomi’s newest Smart Air Purifier 4 makes the promise that it can provide clean, breathable air at a lower cost than the competition. Here is how I feel about the most recent smart air purifier on the market after using the Smart Air Purifier 4 at home.

Practical design and elegant looks
The Smart Air Purifier 4 appears identical to its predecessor right out of the box. The newest competitor, though, has a tonne of fresh design tweaks that make it simpler to use and maintain.
The white polka-dot pattern is not merely for aesthetic purposes; these vents actually draw in outside air and expel fresh air from the top. The air purifier’s redesigned design enables it to draw air in from all sides, ensuring uniform use of the filter.

With just one screw, the updated model also makes it simple to open and clean the fan area, and the smaller grills guarantee that it is a kid-safe air purifier. The monochrome touch-enabled OLED screen, meanwhile, is now a little bit larger, making it easier to access, and you can change modes with the same. Additionally, the display shows the filter’s remaining percentage. Additionally, there is an LED light bar that changes colour depending on the air quality, turning red (poor), orange (medium), or green (good).
Along with the current temperature and humidity %, the display also provides your home’s real-time air quality index (AQI).
Last but not least, it has a removable power cord that makes it portable. I particularly enjoyed how the purifier will shut off on its own if the back panel is opened to access the filter while it is operating.

It’s also clever.
This is a smart air purifier, as the name would imply. It connects to your WiFi and can be operated remotely from your phone using the Mi Home app. This is a helpful option for people who might want to start the purifier when they get home from work and who also want to be able to switch it off remotely to save energy.
I have only ever used this air purifier, and I would say that it performs as expected. I was relieved that I don’t live in an air-hazardous location because Bengaluru had an AQI of under 50. Additionally, the purifier would further reduce the AQI to below

The air quality quickly declines when I start cooking (rarely), but the air purifier quickly restores it. Depending on the size of the residence, this may differ from one home to the next.
Now that summer has arrived, I even used it as a table fan. It does produce a pleasant breeze akin to a table fan. The filter health was still at 99% even after using this purifier for more than 15 days (5–6 hours per day), and it should last for at least a year, at least in areas where the AQI isn’t too bad.
Be aware that it makes use of a new HEFA filter, and that the price of the same is not yet known.
As with an air cooler, it runs quietly in low and night mode but becomes very loud in high and manual mode. You may also put it in automatic mode and leave it; the device will manually alter the mode based on the air quality in the area if you don’t want to constantly fiddle with the settings.

An excellent smart home gadget for city dwellers
Those who experience poor air quality in their homes may find the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 to be a wise investment. Prior to testing this air purifier, I for one had no idea that I would require one. It can filter pollens in addition to dust particles, and the built-in negative air ioniser (which may also be turned off) might be useful for people who have respiratory allergies. Overall, a high-quality Xiaomi smart air purifier lives up to all of the company’s promises.
