A new advertisement features Akshay alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn, promoting Vimal. In the video shared online, SRK and Ajay can be seen in a car, trying to get Akshay’s attention with honks, but he is engrossed in his headphones and music. Eventually, Ajay opens a packet of pan masala, which finally grabs Akshay’s attention. The ad has quickly gone viral.
To provide some context, in 2022, Akshay had stepped down as the brand ambassador for Vimal due to the backlash. He issued an apology to his fans and well-wishers, expressing regret for his association with the brand and clarifying that he does not endorse tobacco. He also pledged to donate his entire endorsement fee to a charitable cause. While the brand might continue airing the ads for the duration of the existing contract, Akshay vowed to be more thoughtful in his future endorsements.
On the professional front, Akshay recently appeared in the film “Mission Raniganj” and has several upcoming projects, including “Singham 3.”
