In Bengaluru, a tragic incident occurred at Delhi Pre-School in Chellikere, Kalyan Nagar, northeast Bengaluru, resulting in the death of a four-year-old student. The child fought for her life in the Intensive Care Unit of a local hospital after falling from the school building terrace on Jan 22. Unfortunately, she passed away at 6:10 pm due to severe injuries to her skull and forehead. Despite 20 seconds of CPR, her heart could not be revived.
The parents of Gianna Ann Jito suspect foul play and have lodged a complaint with the police. The school initially claimed that the child hit a wall at the daycare, fell, and vomited. However, it was later revealed that she fell from the terrace. The family was informed only after the child was admitted to Aster CMI Hospital, following visits to three different hospitals. Strangely, the school alleges that the CCTV was not functioning on the day of the incident, a day with only three children in the daycare.
The family members expressed concerns about the mysterious circumstances, stating that blood stains were discovered on the terrace. They find it unlikely that the child went to the terrace on her own. The police, however, did not confirm the presence of blood stains on the terrace.
