Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone pleasantly surprised their fans by releasing their wedding video on the eighth season of Koffee With Karan. This marked their first joint appearance on a talk show, where they openly discussed their love story. To the delight of DeepVeer fans, the couple shared an emotional wedding video that offered glimpses of both their Sindhi and South Indian wedding ceremonies.
The video commenced with Ranveer raising a toast at their wedding, reflecting on how he had once declared his intention to marry Deepika Padukone, and now, that day had finally arrived. The wedding video showcased touching moments from their big day, including Ranveer helping Deepika with her makeup, expressing his love for her just moments before the ceremony, and more. It also featured heartfelt words from their family members speaking about the couple.
Notably, this wedding video was shot by The Wedding Filmers, the same team that had captured the wedding sequence in Deepika Padukone’s film “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.” They revealed on Instagram that Deepika had asked them to film her wedding video during the making of the movie.
During the filming of “Kabira” for “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani,” I had the privilege of directing Deepika Padukone. In a casual moment by the poolside with the crew, she leaned in and softly said, “When the time comes for my wedding, I’d be honored if you would be the one to capture it.” I was taken aback, blushing in response to her request. Deepika held onto that sentiment, gently reminding me of that whispered promise during the screening of her wedding film years later,” the team recalled.
The wedding video beautifully captured the magical union of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh against the picturesque backdrop of Como. It’s not just about documenting their wedding day but weaving a tale of love, trust, and commitment. This release marked a significant milestone for The Wedding Filmer, coinciding with their 13th year in the industry, and it premiered on ‘Koffee with Karan,’ becoming an important part of their journey and legacy.
